Invite-only · for stock-picking investment clubs

Investment clubs with a memory

Your club bought that stock for a reason. StockClub keeps the reason written down where every member can see it — and then brings the news and the earnings calls back to it, quarter after quarter.

Type in what the club owns, or paste it from your spreadsheet. No brokerage login, no paperwork, nothing for your treasurer to change.

The StockClub Tracker: a grid of holdings by quarter, each cell colored by how the thesis is holding up
Fig. 01 — The Tracker. Every quarter your club has held a name, colored by how the thesis is holding up.

Three questions a spreadsheet can't answer

Most clubs keep a tidy list of what they own. Two years and eleven meetings later, the list is still there — the thinking behind it isn't.

“Why did we buy this?”

The member who pitched it has the reasons in his head, and his notebook, and one email from 2024.

“Has anything changed?”

Headlines arrive all month. Nobody has time to sort the ones that matter from the noise before the meeting.

“Are we still right?”

The honest answer needs the old reasoning next to the new facts. That comparison almost never gets made.

What the app does

Write the thinking down. Then keep testing it.

01 · Theses

The reason you bought it, in plain sight

One page per holding: the case in a sentence, the assumptions it rests on, how confident the club is, and — the part nobody writes down — what would prove you wrong.

  • Key assumptions, each with what would falsify it
  • Bull drivers and bear risks, side by side
  • Versioned, so you can read what you believed in 2024

News cards, each labelled as reinforcing or challenging the club's thesis

02 · News

Headlines that answer to your thesis

Not another feed. Each story about a name you own is read against what your club actually believes, and marked as reinforcing it, challenging it, or simply unexplained.

  • Tagged to the assumption it touches
  • Sourced and dated, with the link intact
  • Big moves with no news get flagged as unexplained

03 · Earnings calls

Somebody read the whole call for you

Every quarter, the transcript comes back as a verdict on your assumptions: which held, which got shakier, and which topics management quietly stopped mentioning — with the executive's own words as evidence.

  • Each assumption marked confirmed, mixed or challenged
  • Quotes pulled straight from the call
  • Silence alerts when a familiar topic goes missing

04 · Holdings & today

Everything the club owns, on one screen

One card per position, each carrying its thesis in a single line, so a new member can read the club's whole way of thinking in about two minutes.

Prices and moves are here for context — for the club's official books and returns, keep using your treasurer's records.

How it works

Four steps, then it runs on its own

1

Add the holdings

Ticker, shares, what you paid, when you bought. Typed in or pasted from the club's sheet.

2

Write the thesis

A few sentences from whoever pitched it. The app helps turn it into assumptions you can test.

3

News and calls come in

Between meetings, each story and each earnings call gets read against what you wrote.

4

Meet with the Tracker up

One grid shows where thinking has drifted. That's your agenda, and it writes itself.

For clubs

Your club, and nobody else

StockClub is private by default. There's no public profile, no leaderboard, no feed of strangers' picks. Members join by invitation from the club, and what the club writes stays inside it.

Every member sees the same theses and the same evidence — so the quiet members can prepare before the meeting, and the loud ones have something to argue with.

What StockClub is not

  • Not a brokerage. Nothing is bought or sold here. Keep placing trades wherever you place them today.
  • Not the club's books. Units, contributions and distributions belong to your treasurer's records, not to us.
  • Not your record of returns. We show prices for context; the authoritative numbers stay where they've always been.
  • Not tax paperwork. No K-1s, no cost-basis reporting, no filings. That's your accountant's work.
  • Not advice. StockClub never tells your club what to buy. It only helps you remember and challenge what you decided.
